I am in Serious Trouble!!!!
Well Bloggers this is it. My diet is officially screwed...My beloved cereal brand Fiber One is now making Brownies! Ahhhhhh I don't know if I should rejoice or cry?! I was just minding my business at Costco <strike>eating free samples </strike>shopping for healthy foods and then I spotted these little packets of joy. Yep Fiber One Brownies. Sold in little individual packets. Each one has 90 calories and 5 grams of fiber. And here is the best part: they are delicious!!! I mean, not like a hot gooey fresh-out-of-the-oven delicious, but still very tasty!! I ate 3 yesterday :( BUT even those 3 only equal 270 calories so I guess its no biggie. Yum so good. Now I just have to make sure I can find them again bc I went back to Costco a few days later and they were gone.
Speaking of diets-I need to stop eating like a linebacker. This is ridiculous. My handsome hubby is 6'5 and 225 lbs and I eat as much(if not more) than him :( I have a trip to Hawaii in 6 weeks so I may as well use that trip as the catalyst to stop eating like a dude. I will say I'm stronger now than Ive ever been thanks to teaching a bunch of Dailey Method classes each week-but still I need to do 2 things: practice some portion control and also make sure I take 4 classes a week myself (teaching doesn't count). Alright enough of my ramblings! Here are some pics from from Easter :) Isn't the bottom one hilarious?
Yesterday was a good one :) Nothing outrageous happened but things were simple, sweet and I took time to appreciate how great life is. Studio was busy, classes were awesome and lots of new members signed up!! I came home and Tanner was sleeping even though the cleaners were buzzing around and vacuuming right outside his door-he just slept like a champ(for 3 hours-he never naps that long-it was heaven!!!)!! Kevin got home early and so we walked the pups then had a glass of Chardonnay on our patio. I spent a lot of time while preggo on our patio reading and relaxing and it was so surreal to now have this amazing baby sitting on my lap bc it just feels like yesterday that I was rubbing my bump and feeling his kicks out there. Time sure does fly. We grilled up some tri tip and put the munchkin down early and talked and ate and enjoyed each other :) It was just so nice. Anyway enough of my ramblings-lets get to the good stuff:

Cute new product alert!!! Well it is new to me ;) It is Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. Now I'm not sure I would call it a "balm" but it is cute and I love the way it looks-just a touch of subtle color. I struggle w/ not looking too 'done' while I'm teaching classes at my studio. I mean I always wear make up (wouldn't want to scare my clients away), but I am exercising so some lip colors seem a tad much. But these Chubby Sticks are perfect!! Here is the info from Clinique:

"Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth.
This will be short and sweet: I tried a sample of this cleanser and could not love it more!!! Really-it is a delight! It almost makes me not dread washing my face in the morning :) It is Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash and it is as fab as can be! Smells divine! Great texture that gets sudsy enough but also has little round exfoliator beads-so it just makes my face so nice and soft. It rinses off well and leave my skin nice and squeaky clean w/out over dying!! This is what Bliss has to say about it:

"•oil-free, 2-in-1 gel cleanser and exfoliator effectively removes dirt and makeup
•gently exfoliates with perfectly soft, round exfoliator beads
•calms the skin with soothing botanicals
•guys have been known to sneak some as a shaving cream stand-in
A two-in-one oil-free exfoliating wash for all skin types, this fresh, fruity cleanser contains rose hip extract, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile in a non-stripping formula that rebalances even the most schizophrenic of skins."

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! It is $22 for a bottle and I think it is well worth the price!Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-80339595342482997622011-04-22T07:17:00.000-07:002011-04-22T07:18:30.744-07:00Support SystemHappy Friday Product Junkies!!! I feel like I'm on cloud 9 today-not sure if its bc I finally have a day where I'm not going to the studio (don't worry-I'll be back tomorrow), if its bc we made the yummiest cookies yesterday (lactation cookies and they TOTALLY increased my output this morning!!! I'll post the recipe soon!), maybe its bc my little sweetie only flipped himself over once last night (Tanner is a rolling maniac and keeps scooting all over his crib and rolling over and getting stuck which wakes him up-which wakes me up, etc), or if its bc I'm surrounded by people I love (Tanner, my Mom, the pups, sweet Hubs and I are all hanging today). Regardless-life is good :)
When I was preggo I was an idiot and just kept on upgrading the size of my regular bras until the week before T came-but once I was at Pea in the Pod and tried on their nursing bras-it was like a whole new world of comfort and support! Amazing. And-holy crap-I could breath (I guess my regular bras were tighter than I thought-whoops!)! My favs are the Seamless Clip Down Nursing Bra from A Pea in The Pod ($42.50-pictured above) and this other one from Tagert(its Gilligan & O Malley) that I cant seem to find right now. Honorable mention also goes to the Unlined Nursing Sleep Bra and the Sports Wrap Nursing Sleep Bra( both from Pea in The Pod). I would say invest in a few good comfy ones that you can basically live in (comfort wins here ladies-they aren't glam-but trust me-they will be covered in milk/baby slobber soon enough anyway). As far as nursing tanks/nursing night gowns-I have a couple of each but really prefer to wear regular clothes w/ a nursing bra underneath. For my hospital stay I did get a few soft and comfy nightgowns that were short and loose and so comfy and it felt great to not wear the ugly hospital gown the whole time!! I also got a new robe that is soft and cozy and wore that too. Awe all this talk about my hospital stay makes me want to have another baby...Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-1043375146915468302011-04-19T06:43:00.000-07:002011-04-19T06:43:38.790-07:00Shedding

Well this is out of hand. I kid you not-I am shedding more than a Husky in July. Like handfuls of hair. Uggghhhhhh. I know this isn't a cute post about a fantastic product or about my fantastic baby-this is just a FYI to other mamas to be and a huge bitch session for me! I have looked into it and it is perfectly normal to lose hair after you have a baby. I guess one of the reasons preggo women get such amazing hair is that they don't lose as much when they are pregs which results in think, long hair. Well don't get too attached to it! Mine started really coming out at about 3.5 months and I think (knock on wood) that the worst is over. Literally a huge handful would fall out when I wash my hair. It is so gross. I could stuff a king size pillow w/ all this damn hair! And Tanner is so into grabbing things that it isn't usual to find a my hair in his little fist. Oh well-another perk of mother hood!Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-56872082550152438272011-04-18T06:25:00.000-07:002011-04-18T06:25:37.534-07:00Growing Up Too Fast!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLqfx8uh0MBYme0mNLOX0CyCWy6YCzFGdbyUOJMXl6TsYILLvxMgv5inFwUF0KPFfr_abCHzCtWij5fkw-fBsVaINCBqVmWHf5ya-UfR1L-6RE7UpjHUdFdx0XRKsTh8zo9qctHpe1JRZ2/s320/tanner+smile1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5595260115279367538" />
I have been through the ringer. I knew I wanted to breastfeed my baby-but I did not know how challenging it was going to be in the beginning. I mean-holy crap-it was hard. Way harder than my c-section. My little munchkin latched right away, maybe 45 minutes after he was born (I was so drugged up-it was very blurry). The nurses were shocked that a 45 minute old baby could latch and suckle like a champ. So that was good. Then on Thursday(T was born on Tuesday) morning I woke up and made Pam Anderson look flat chested. My milk came in and came in like it was nobodies business. So it seemed that this was going to be a piece of cake, right? Wrong! Tanner could be part human part barracuda. He destroyed my nipples. I mean-I hate to be so graphic-but really, things were looking bad and feeling worse. I had to get on antibiotics-it was a mess. My nipples were bright red and painful to the touch. I cried while I fed him and eventually I started to pump more than I nursed(which is a whole other post bc exclusively pumping is tough too and then my milk supply went down and the saga continues) So along the way I tried just about every nipple cream under the sun and that's what this post is about.
The very best choice is the Medela Tender Care Lanolin. It is the perfect amount of stickiness and is super easy to apply. It weirdly has the same texture as my beloved Kiehl's #1 Lip Balm. Its my fav. The next one worth mentioning is the Mother's Love Nipple Cream. It is all natural, organic, yada, yada and it is good-but it doesn't feel like it stays on. And last and most certainly least is the Lasinoh Lanolin. This stiff is thick. Like rubber cement. I kinda hate it. It is too hard top squeeze out of the tube-then once it is out-it is too hard to apply(think very cold butter not spreading on bread-its the same idea). So there you go-this was the longest post and the moral of the story is: Medela's Tender Care Lanolin Nipple Cream is the best:)
PS: Nursing gets a million times easier w/ time. I was at Nordies minding my own business (and smelling the perfume you guys recommended-more on that soon!) and then I locked eyes on a little black tube of happiness: Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner SPF 15!!! It's $20-but worth it in my opinion. This stuff is AMAZING!! Yummy smell/taste and a very nice texture (similar to Kiehls!), but this stuff has SPF! Be still my heart. It had me at hello. Here is how Jo Malone describes it:

"A targeted treatment that softens, smooths and cares for vulnerable skin. Known for its restorative powers, Vitamin E is enhanced with UVA/UVB protection to defend the lips from the damaging effects of the environment. Honey, a natural emollient, brings a hint of flavour to this curative treatment"

Yes!!! All so true! Soooooo will I stop carrying around my little white pots of Kiehls? Will little black tubes be my newest accessory? Only time will tell....I have the loyalty of a Labrador-so there is no way I would drop Kiehls that quickly. The Summer Infant Slim Secure handheld Color video monitor. It really is wonderful and we use it daily. The 1st few nights of Tanner sleeping in his nursery-I swear I slept with this monitor in my hands and would wake up every hour and check on him all night long :) It is amazing and helpful and such good quality that I can see him breathing at night (yep in the dark-it has night vision!) It is also helpful bc now my sweet little man makes all sorts of weird noises at night and I can just see that he is fine and I don't need to go into his room. It is great. Knock on wood-we haven't had to do any sleep training-but for those who do-this would be a lifesaver bc you could see that your little one is fine. I REALLY want a signature scent and have tried and tried-but have come up empty handed :( I just think everything always smells amazing when I'm shopping-then I get home and hate it. Any advice/suggestions/recommendations? I like subtle. I don't have a type of scent that I usually go for bc Ive dabbled in everything from clean scents (Bobbi Brown Beach) to floral (Marc Jacobs or Micheal) to sexy (Angel, or Chanel Chance) to Vanilla-y(DKNY Pure)-I mean really the list goes on and on. Not me. I need something quick and easy and hopefully healthy that I can make quickly and gobble up w/out much preparation. Enter my new go to skinny snack (well its my go to when I'm hungry for something savory): Lean Cuisine Fajita Style Chicken Spring Rolls. OMG these are delish! And soooooo easy to prepare (take out of the freezer, microwave for 2 minutes 30 seconds and voila!) and very easy to eat (I can make, eat and clean up one handed if a certain someone wants to be held). I had such a nice weekend! One of my BFFs is getting married this June (in Hawaii!) and she had her bachlorrete party this weekend in Mammoth. It was my 1st time being away from Tanner over night (actually I was gone for 2 nights!), but I was so happy to spend time w/ my best girl friends and Kevin is such an amazing dad-that I wasn't worried at all:) We talked and ate and drank too much wine and just had a fabulous time!! I don't drink very much at all anymore and so this weekend was my 1st time "pumping and dumping" which leads me to this post about my beloved/handy little machine: The Medela Pump in Style Advanced breast pump! This thing is AMAZING I use it all the time-it is quick, efficient, portable and easy to clean. If you plan on pumping at all-you need to have a double electric pump-and this pump is the best on the market!! Medela also makes some great and very helpful accessories to use w/ it-but we will save that for a future post. Oh and my insurance reimbursed me for $100 for my pump (which was $329)-but hey I'll gladly take and extra $100! I got mine at Babies R Us and used a 20% off coupon and it has been worth every penny!!! I pump every morning and night to make enough milk to bottle for when I'm teaching at the studio and then nurse Tanner once I get home during the day. Nursing has gotten very easy-but holy crap it was hard in the beginning-I'll post more on that soon too ;) Alright-I'm off to the studio-I'm in serious need of some exercise bc I ate my face off all weekend and will be in my bikini in 5 days...Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-67807095100909338162011-03-30T06:11:00.000-07:002011-03-30T06:55:25.054-07:00Where does the time go?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMbm2Ar27dzl6fEyrFiyRc-bi-led7AXFjwJE1aoqgf_iu_fmvf1YypLYB56xJ-P79VHjE_mB8dZdxqq8THHj-C9ygbEQZx5uvWXt6Q15c1jmkd6drR3p5l3ugUiSVP0Pg5P_FVtenAVsd/s320/tanner+till+12+weeks+088.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589868464426991058" />
So I'm really trying to get organized. I even got a organizational book (more on that in a future post)! I feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day to get all the things done that I want to do. So to track where all my time is going, the book suggested I take a day and log exactly what I did all day and hopefully I will identify places I'm wasting time and where I can be more efficient. So here is yesterday:
5:30am-sweet baby boy makes noise in his crib and I wake up, check the monitor (its a video monitor-another must have!) and he goes back to sleep, so I snooze for a bit too :)
6:00am-alarm goes off. I sneak downstairs leaving Kevin in bed w/ the pups and w/ the monitor. I quickly make coffee, pop 2 pieces of toast in the toaster, get my pump parts out and sit in front of the computer eating breakfast, pumping and writing my blog/reading my fav blogs.
6:30am-put dishes in the dishwasher, assemble bottles using pumped milk for the day. Wash pump parts. Tanner wakes up and Kevin goes to get him (which is the sweetest thing bc he is so smile-y 1st thing in the morning) and feeds him a bottle of pumped milk while I wash my face/brush my teeth/make up/get dressed.
7:00am-I get Tanner dressed and get his diaper bag all set. I tidy up, make the bed, throw dishes in the sink or dishwasher.
7:30am-snuggle that sweet boy on the couch for 15 minutes. He is so chatty and discovered a new voice that we call his "Darth Vader" voice bc its low and growl-y. Too cute.
7:45am-Tanner's babysitter gets to the house-God bless her, he loves her! I grab my purse, hop in the car and head to the studio. During my drive I am listening to my Ipod trying to finalize my music for today's class.
8:15am-get to the studio, open up, get music ready.
8:45am & 10:00am-teach classes. Love my clients.
11:15-help 2 instructors w/ their music/timing/questions(eat a banana)
12:30pm-Trish(Tanner's sitter) drops him off at the studio, Kevin gets there at the same time to meet us for lunch. I'm still helping my instructors so I nurse tanner in the studio while they practice.
1:30-we leave for lunch(I have a half cup of soup and 1/2 a sandwich).
3:30-get home, T is sleeping. I jump online to do our payroll. T wakes up. I nurse him.(eat a skinny cow)
4:30-Kevin, Tanner, the pups and I go for a walk.
5:00-Tanner and I do tummy time, read a book, and start a load of laundry
5:30-Nurse T again-he falls asleep on my lap so I jump onto babycenter (my guilty pleasure) and catch up from my phone.
6:00-T goes in his jumperoo and goes crazy in it(this boy can jump!)(I eat a flat out wrap and dip it in hummus) and fold T's laundry
6:30-Bath time for T. I get in our big tub w/ him and Kevin assists. Such a happy family time-he loves "swimming".
6:45-Kevin get him in his PJs and they read a story while I throw on a robe and get his last bottle ready.
7:00pm-Feed Tanner and put him to bed (he is an angel and I put him in awake-but sleepy and he falls right asleep).
7:30pm-Kevin is doing his P90, I make oatmeal w/ nuts and fruit for dinner(supposed to increase my milk supply and steel cut oats helps!), we have leftovers from last night's dinner (pork chops, risotto and broccoli slaw) and Kevin will eat those.
8:00pm-I get in the shower and plan my class for the next day
8:45pm-Jump on the computer and pump again.
9:15pm-Wash dishes/bottles/pump parts, eat another skinny cow and head upstairs.
9:30pm-snuggle pups and Kevin in bed, I'm working on some text for cards we are sending to our clients and Kevin is on his ipad.
10:00pm-Go to sleep!

So that is it...this was probably pretty darn boring to read-but I think it will help help find extra time...and see that I'm eating too many skinny cows :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-90703630728588751142011-03-29T06:14:00.000-07:002011-03-29T06:28:51.448-07:00Flat Out Amazing!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 195px; height: 276px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX-mWRxjdPkGD-vpsG_7dUX4iTsQdbUxa1ToDrtaKwJagJWl8t9FMer90S1HctLs5ruYDqRQReBtFRn6xJIXLaZtOnE8E1ESzhe8rM9dD_0gRuEncF9V-AhkAqaBvHB18DhRbXBPHdxIGe/s320/flatoutlight.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589493068554396818" />
Morning Bloggers! This next little gem was too good not to share!! I was doing my daily grocery shopping trip(because for some reason I cannot meal plan, :( I try and try but it just doesn't workout) and stumbled upon these flatbread/wraps. They are called Flat Out Flatbread wraps and they are AMAZING(get the Light Original flavor!)!! Look at this nutritional profile-its enough to make me squeal w/ delight!

Made with 100% Stone Ground Whole Wheat
90 Calories
6 net carbs
0g sugar
9g Fiber, 36% of your daily value
The Best Life Diet Approved
Whole Grain approved, 8g or more per serving

They had me at 90 calories and 9(!) grams of fiber!! Sold! So I bought some, brought them home and they are as delish as they are healthy!!! Kevin loves them too! I made us little wraps w/ hummus, chicken and some veggies and they were sooo yummy. Now I'm just nervous about my grocery store continuing to carry them (so in true product junkie form I buy a ridiculous amount of them to stock up)! So what does this Nap Nanny do? Here is what the manufacturer says:
"The Nap Nanny Chill is a portable recliner designed by a mother to increase comfort and improve infant sleep. The Nap Nanny chill is also great for play time, taking a bottle, feeding twins, or watching television. With no top end weight limit, it can also be used as a perfect toddler chair. "
We used it for everything-but mainly it got my sweet baby boy to sleep like a champ! (That in combo w/ the Miracle Blanket-is the BEST discovery ever!!!). So I had planned on having Tanner sleep in a bassinet in our room for the first few weeks. But he wasn't loving the bassinet-Im not sure why-but it wasn't his favorite. We soon started having him nap in the Nap Nanny (we would just keep it in our living room bc newborns fall asleep all the time-so as soon as he would dose off-we would put him down to snooze in the Nap Nanny), and then we had the bright idea for him to sleep in it at night(on the ground right next to my bed). He was swaddled and just as snug as can be :) When 6:45am(!!) came and I realized that my sweet angel had just slept 9 hours(!!) straight, I knew we were onto something amazing!!! I think the incline is brilliant (especially if your little one has reflux). I took Tanner up to San Francisco for a week in January and we stayed in a hotel and bless his little heart-he continued to sleep through the night in his Nap Nanny and it was super easy to pack! I cant say enough great things about this product! He is in his crib at night now-but I still use his Nap Nanny as a seat for him-or I can feed him a bottle while I pump w/ him in it. There are a million uses for it! LOVE IT! A MUST HAVE!!
Here is my disclaimer: It should NOT be used in a crib. Use your good judgement here-I wouldn't leave my baby unattended in it for long periods of time-duh.Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-78027116343895141632011-03-25T07:09:00.000-07:002011-03-25T07:19:49.971-07:00New Mom Must Have:Little White Circles of Fluff Happiness<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9FhXYlQx-rhSNtjjJzxX0iS8xynrEaqeVkm4uUuQgNUX67x7H3-_rBDIEWbn9HCUAvbaEQPRfUX5ME0uyEGAvxYRtaVbGyC07aMpLO7peWu4sl8gshKp4vgHOZXa9MUnqET28F28RRDoV/s320/j+%2526+j+nursing+pads.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588021952088714834" />
Seriously I could fill up hundreds of blog posts about what my poor nipples have been through since November 16th. But I'll try to keep those posts to a minimum :) Today's product, Johnson's Nursing Pads, came along when I thought that I would never find relief and they are AMAZING! The best nursing pads on the market! You know I have tried them all (and so weird how ALL the others have majorly sucked), and these are top notch. They are thick and soft and very absorbant and the cherry on top is they have a nice little spot for your nipple! Brilliant! The other nursing pads are flat and just smoosh everything down :( I have never leaked through these and they aren't plastic-y like the Lasinoh or Medela ones are. Just the best. Only drawback is they don't sell these at Babies R Us. I get mine at Target. Ha-2 posts in 2 days! I'm feeling very proud of myself ;)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-63941347668855102952011-03-24T19:39:00.000-07:002011-03-24T20:00:06.997-07:00Whoa-I have missed my blog!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGyElpnvKIApAaPP9E2RB6UCcG_tVZKIZs2VijeatLcSYQKGKU3UzEnVxUeoDSVvJ7sR5ol5p3CkngI1RsTuUX-q03NxylqxpYbNVpYYDGo5Z3trddYW3mlVt63KFHzeo8PfhjMC2Dq9Ac/s320/tanner+till+12+weeks+078.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5587846133603285346" />
I really have! I have just been a busy bee w/ the bambino (who is amazing and gorgeous and perfect and ginger! Yes a Ginger :) I'll post more on that soon!), my hubby and my studio. All 3 are doing wonderfully-but all 3 take up a bunch of time. I feel like I should get back to my blogging though bc I miss my blogging friends and frankly-I miss buying a ton of products and telling Kevin that I NEED them for research for the blog. I made the mistake of asking him to pick up a bottle of my fav leave in conditioner and he was not too impressed w/ the $28 price...He needs to loosen up. Geesh. Oh well. Everyone I know is preggo and Im getting about a billion emails/texts a day asking me about my must-have baby items. So in the interest of efficiency-I thought I'd blog about them :) So I promise I will be back very soon w/ my 1st baby product post! I wont bore you w/ my apologies for being a bad blogger, I'll just pick up right where I left off! Lets talk about one of the cutest new finds of 2011! I was doing online shopping at nordstrom.com, ordering my usual 8 pots of kiehl's #1 lip balm, and I stumbled across this lip balm with such a cute name that I had to spend the $20 to check it out!! Introducing: Peter Thomas Roth 'Lips to Die For™ - Pink Bombshell' Lip Balm! It is great! Very moisturizing and a light pinky color that is too cute!! This wont replace my #1 product bbf kiehl's, but it is something I will purchase again!!Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-76042311234931401842010-12-29T12:34:00.001-08:002010-12-29T13:00:22.922-08:00OMG I have fallen off the face of the planet!!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYXgO5tiysL2-bxVn4y9hL5r8O6hqY6tDzv-tc3op39i_GJQUrpifUJWvr30lmwUbkh_AtNwjaVmz9CovlWVySwYM8dbkMz9qay6V4aP9uKydv9q8vbKeKchT-6OLJDxwS2T0Z9xX_UU-0/s320/11-21-10+to+12-27-10+162.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556210864203011170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM3wYG7vrG3tXQJdifYmtvrJtMt6y5bAeNE2GoRBjY4q2a6tgxHDhyphenhyphenU5h20xH1WOyxXjeo4exjzQ53rlE4MK-l9K7fhNeFCl4HXHsEUHHtKijE_IGio5lFaNYZ5khkLqc2_DGR_L3zAQJM/s320/11-21-10+to+12-27-10+161.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556210858083830306" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4jrZW_FxOqTjS25jOPeFoeqNOOuSCCWerQqv6FP3TkzjN3aYaCXe7Q-eOntsrZHtfdu6yNs3RrAYKmkO-9w-9iut3I9ISgmeces6nxqJIUxORe_EJ8eCJpehE2XZEiP7jjwak8EkuHQxA/s320/11-21-10+to+12-27-10+163.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556209625964618642" />
Seriously-I suck! I haven't been returning phone calls or emails, I haven't been on facebook in ages, I have no clue whats going on in any of my magazines or fav shows (except Top Chef All Stars and Housewives of Beverly Hills-those I've managed to keep up with!). I have been very busy being mama/wife/holiday hostess/business owner. It is insane! I'm typing one handed w/ a sleeping baby on me while the cleaners are cleaning up the last of the pine needles on our floor :) BUT, my sweet product-loving friends, I have also been trying TONS of new goodies and have lots of great new finds to share! So-honestly I probably wont be blogging quite as much as before, but I will make an effort to get on at least a few times a week! In cute baby news: Tanner is smiling up a storm and slept last night from 9pm-ish to 4am!!! I think I may have actually gotten into REM! I'm headed to my OB for my 6 week check up and hopefully she will green light my exercising (I started taking Dailey Method classes again this past week) and green light sexy time w/ Kevin!!! Products that I'll be blogging about soon: this AMAZING under eye illuminator, fabulously fresh smelling body butter, nipple cream that rocks my world, a new fav lip balm, and much, much more!!! Ohhhh and I'll also share my new year's resolutions w/ you(so I feel like I have to keep them!). Hope you all had a fab holiday! Above is a pic of Kevin, Tanner in his Bjorn and me on xmas morning and a couple of me and Tanner by our tree :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-75932556545176868912010-12-13T09:26:00.000-08:002010-12-13T09:38:22.120-08:00Delicious!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwz17RB0q21y2Omk23bua0c1RNIROCz5Oy5_BcZ-AXu2OsXezHYGG7NiIOSfNhmLe_-9-rFQIc-D7PgUsUUoGpFcXwegXxzeoOLzS4ONNcfP3BGhyphenhyphenx6L5cnNL18avZmvz8SJBkAQ93r1xN/s320/candy+cane+lane+tea.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550222328063394130" />
Happy Monday Bloggers!! I hope you all had a fab weekend! I went to the mall yesterday with my mom and we got a bunch of x-mas shopping done. Now I just need to wrap the gifts and I'll be very close to being done :) Even though it was 87 degrees yesterday-I was definitely put in the holiday spirit by shopping! There are so many things I love about this time of year and I thought this week I would share some of them with you. So first thing first is this amazing tea! It is soooooo good-like seriously yummy!! It is Celestial Seasonings Holiday Teas Candy Cane Lane Decaffeinated Green Holiday Tea and I am obsessed with it! I have been trying to get into drinking hot tea ever since I heard Cindy Crawford tell Oprah that she prefers tea lattes to espresso lattes (for those of you who don't know Cindy Crawford is my hero). But a lot of times hot tea just tastes so tea-ish. Well this stuff has a wonderful flavor: an irresistible blend of peppermint, creamy vanilla and just a touch of cinnamon and sweet blackberry leaves. AND its decaf. AND its green tea and we all know how healthy that is. So chug a lug Product Junkies, this stuff is tasty and healthy and its screams Merry Christmas :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-16354859266296567102010-12-08T11:49:00.000-08:002010-12-08T12:04:46.307-08:00Do Your Pups Have Expensive Taste?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSWETU4rViimYfBBcLMDJAjBALeZnEW6jjI_jDXuz-giAlIvT_uRov-eYx2NC6b4j4m6xI6DSowZCJyc0X2nTPN8JTkqhv_8BgjjJuKKszZb_BEY6qeRFHee3_6jle6AudbPzVQ2X5xFKN/s320/camera+11-28-09+276.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548404320269082546" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGtqcMHtE0djShoiWzj23SHTPWWEDeV-g0ycriGTmMwq1S6Cz1zqrogqxBQOwiK13Sb7pu231fwaL2SFqX0gFY75PJUAUkGacaFBB89-ovvPkA3i4FSwxKc8534h1XqE84Ibme3bf3Vdbd/s320/camera+11-28-09+275.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548404313328101682" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbHNafrGC-7i7CADYON1ncDz0-Lt9y-4rPlW-D8U3pKmMskhu9Sr3sbkDiBrzvqqPqZF9K6URTmJMA7lTBw1KQdt1o7QfZ4dtaIS6kclR_DoKvY5d1H_VpYHdi7B6zFbdgcslYbcHLOVLa/s320/nutri+dent.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548404307704184674" />
Mine do!! Bella and Romeo are picky pups and love the finer things in life (and this should not surprise anyone because look who raised these little munchkins!). They are fanatical about their Greenies. We give them one Greenie everyday when we leave the house. They expect it. As soon as I put shoes on, Romeo is waiting by the front door for his "goodbye treat". Well Greenies are expensive! Like ridiculous! And there are lots of cheap imitations-but none that ever appealed to my little snob Romeo (Bella btw will eat anything to be polite...such a lady!), until now...Nylabone Nutri Dent Original Minichews seems to pass the test! The minichews are for dogs up to 10 lbs (Bella, like her mommy, is a few lbs over weight right now, but we still give her the minichews) and both dogs seem to really like them! They are less than half the price of Greenies! Bone Appetite! Get it "Bone" instead of "Bon", yep this is the kind of humour sleep deprivation elicits :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-58093239760963990702010-12-07T17:20:00.000-08:002010-12-07T17:32:12.405-08:00OK I suck as a blogger!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 220px; height: 220px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSqhHOsPpMqbH5spNmC6-epQ0Ift7s2IgFgDuhDeEtj3v8PmLbMImxB1rUEACGDnWfLmXfQuVjwUOeaIfMTGnRNAUjWhcv6UBmRvZa28VYk2JLOfsi4C0K24R6fW_LsVtgKUHuJk0xQejo/s320/3D-White-Whitestrips-Advanced-Vivid.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548118093188368466" />
Ahhhh why is it so hard to get ANYTHING done right now? I am used to being very efficient and let me tell you, I still write out lofty to-do lists daily and get to about 2 of the tasks. It is hard bc all I want to do is spend time w/ my little love!! Good news is that Baby Tanner is gaining weight like a mad man! 2 lbs 2oz in 2 weeks! The pediatrician was shocked! And impressed (and he said "well obviously you are tired bc you must be feeding him all of the time", which is true!)! Great news about the little man getting a bit bigger is that he can sleep longer now and I can (try to) space out his feedings so I can get some stuff done!

So today I'm posting about one of the easiest ways to look better quickly...whiten your teeth!! I didn't do it while preggo and actually I didn't think I touched up these pearly whites since our wedding (Oct 08). So as part of my "extreme make over post-baby edition", I will get these teeth pearly and white again asap! I have teeth trays that the dentist made (2 sets actually), but truth be told-I prefer the good old fashion Crest White Strips. They really work! And they don't irritate my gums or cause tooth sensitivity the way my trays do. So that's my product for the day! Happy Bleaching :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-31708485149178097252010-12-02T10:30:00.000-08:002010-12-02T10:53:23.511-08:00Goodbye Dark Circles!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 210px; height: 245px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV-W28e6840Szgsj8h3ghYLAcJLsNAKhNO4liXLLZ8QqQYj8__RCJABl_HpEqKHdxjRuvRM7ZTB4uwXGp5rF7004AWjk54EjixWveQCPVIfQxyUv31kTUpDJddzFc2J54cD76qRWFwn6iE/s320/concealoer+twins.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546159615167272738" />
So last night Kevin and I had our 1st night out away from Tanner. It was Kevin's 32ND birthday and since my mom is staying w/ us to help w/ the baby-we thought we would have a little date night. So I tried to get pretty, and my 1st order of business was covering up these dark circles!! Enter Physicians Formula Concealer Twins® 2-in-1 Correct & Cover Cream Concealer in Light/Yellow. This stuff is pretty great! It has 2 wands: one w/ a yellow color that you put on 1st to counter act the purple circles, then there is a skin colored concealer that you use on top. Here is the info from the manufacturer:

Conveniently joins together a color corrective and a light, flesh-tone cream concealer to help you achieve flawless-looking skin.
Yellow hides dark under-eye circles and other bluish skin discolorations.
Green color corrects red blemishes and scars.
Light covers yellow and any minor skin imperfections.
Gentle creamy formula, transfer-resistant, water-resistant and glides on smoothly to a velvety finish.
Hypoallergenic. Fragrance-free. Non-comedogenic. Recommended by dermatologists and plastic surgeons. SPF 10.

I must say that it made me look only kind of totally exhausted :) It is only $6.99 at Target and worth every penny! Date night was nice-we went out to a fancy dinner and it was nice to just be the 2 of us (although I did cry when we left baby T!). Ok-time to shower and apply my concealer :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-57394507916383504022010-11-30T08:56:00.001-08:002010-11-30T09:08:35.427-08:00Post Baby Bod<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsxnpfoDsuRoOa0dTBJfWbh3_P4mfxruM0uwl9kFX2oyHRrOpgFIJOIJoblvXYX8fLcS1Dlii7KdKRJhkeGDscXxhVP2V8wTMUOe7NVQLYgNL45_TMmxOGyskOY4NItyHBs980M1UizkOT/s320/Tanner+Charles%2521+11-16-10+to+11-20-10+004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545390204983344338" />
My sweet little man is 2 weeks old today!! He has already grown a bunch and as quickly as he is putting on weight-I'm trying to take it off!! I gained 33lbs during my pregnancy-but I started it 7 lbs higher than my ideal weight. So today I am down 20 lbs and have 13 more to get back to pre baby weight, although I'm going to try to lose 20 lbs to get to my skinny weight. I'm hoping my skin will shrink too! Today I'm headed out to buy an abdominal binder to shrink everything up. I wore one for the 1st week after Tanner was born-but I stopped bc it was bothering my c-section incision. Well now that the incision is almost healed, I'm going to get back into it!! I am very excited to get the green light to exercise (I see my OB tomorrow) so that I can start toning up!! Above is a pic of me the morning Tanner was born-we were just leaving for the hospital. I was very puffy-the pic doesn't do a great job of showing just how huge my tummy got, but trust me-it was huge. People would say "well, I bet you are having a really big baby!" or "must be twins"-gosh people are so rude!!This post was kind of jumbled and all over the place-sorry, not a lot of sleep last night and I'm trying to be quick! I'm starting my healthy-eating plan today so hopefully that will keep the scale moving in the right direction too!Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8277836301108348441.post-18307986781721445082010-11-29T09:59:00.001-08:002010-11-29T10:07:44.493-08:00Operation Eye Cream Continues!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 194px; height: 261px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQw29EsSdO4e-2wgTxScV7JeQ9mfjAmu6wDOGdHCLfwEBclOSQsZsLeLXiG3NGKJeVFGaaCnEcPHfUPWs13vI39UaIyGy5sEKrALAyxUvfN5O3uIrrMLfhApIwfoTbY8Rm2FIoIPiwB7Pm/s320/wexler+eye+cream.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545034777148870498" />
Alright Product Junkies-I made a promise to find the best under eye cream and I am still on the hunt! I bought and am currently using Patricia Wexler M.D. Dermatology Intensive 3-in-1 Eye Cream: Lifting, Firming, Anti-Wrinkle Formula. I read about it in a magazine and they gave it top ratings. I got it at Bath & Body Works and it was $32 (but they have all sorts of holiday coupons going on so I'm sure you can get it for cheaper if you are coupon savvy). It is pretty good: goes on smooth, not too greasy, no irritation. Here is what the product info says about it:

Winner: Shape Magazine’s Best of Beauty, September 2008
Firms skin for a tighter appearance and visibly lifts skin around the eye and brow area
Dramatically reduces the look of lines and wrinkles
Gives the eye area a smoother, more youthful appearance

So I like it but I don't think its "the one"...its kind of like when I was single and would meet a guy who was "almost" perfect, and I would try my hardest to see if he could be my future hubby, but in reality it would never have worked out. So that is how I feel about this eye cream. It is firming-but I want something that is richer (ha! just like when I was on the dating scene!) and more moisturizing. BUT I have only been using it for 3 weeks and I will continue to use it and who knows-maybe it will win me over :)Product Junkiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06729652372900541807noreply@blogger.com0
